Ryan Seacrest broke down while talking about Kelly Ripa's son's learning disability
Kelly Ripa couldn't hold back the tears as she expressed her pride for her son and how he handled a new hurdle.
Co-host Ryan Seacrest was quick to add his own tears to the mix when Ripa discussed on their show "Live! With Kelly and Ryan" how Joaquin, 14, was coping with school.
Ripa was very proud as she explained that despite suffering from dyslexia and always having had trouble with school work, her youngest child is getting straight A's in his first semester of high school!

Back in October 2017, Ripa explained that Joaquin has always struggled to cope with school work, and that school has "always been a challenge" in their house.
So when Joaquin got set to start high school in September, Ripa was concerned over how he would deal with his difficulty at a new academic level.
But it wasn't long before the television personality realized she needn't have worried, as her son was doing incredibly well already!
During a parent-teacher meeting, while Joaquin was present, his teacher explained how well he was doing with his work. Ripa openly admitted that she started crying while the teacher gushed about her son!
She continued, saying that Joaquin started laughing at his sobbing mother, probably because he was made "so uncomfortable" by her reaction.
Ripa also shared a story from her son's first-grade book fair, where she says he was keen to show his parents everyone else's books but didn't want them seeing his work.
That incident just made Ripa all the more proud of his progress!
But Ripa wasn't alone in her pride. As soon as she started crying on the show, Seacrest also started blubbering!
“I see the way you handle career, and most importantly family . . . and it’s so impressive. I am inspired by it, and anybody who knows you and watches you agrees. When my mom cries, it makes me cry, so when you cry, it makes me cry.”
