Melania Trump celebrates 2nd anniversary of Donald's presidency on Day 30 of government shutdown

The 30th day of the longest government shutdown in US history just so happened to be the 2nd anniversary of Donald Trump's presidency. Melania Trump made sure to celebrate the special day by posting a photo of the first couple dancing in the White House.

Sunday marked the Trump family's second year in the White House, and Melania made sure to celebrate the occasion by posting a sweet photograph of her and the President dancing during one of their inaugural balls.

In her caption, she let the American people know how happy she is to be their First Lady.

"It has been an unforgettable two years in the @whitehouse. I am honored to serve this great nation!"

Of course, Donald Trump used his favorite social media platform to re-share the photo, quoting the Tweet to add the caption: "A truly great First Lady who doesn't get the credit she deserves!"

Their 2nd anniversary fell on the 30th day of the partial government shutdown, and on that same day, Trump made sure to tweet 40 times about different events that were happening aside from the shutdown.

At first, he began his Twitter spree sharing about his perspective on the American economy, even sharing his dismay over the lack of coverage given to it by the media. He then continued to "retweet" numerous statements by other people and ending the day with the topic of sports in the evening.

Trump's addiction to Twitter is not only noticed by the general public, but even by his wife, Melania, who admits that she can't get him off the social media app

In a recent interview that Melania had with Fox News' Sean Hannity, he asked whether the First Lady had the power to stop President Trump from tweeting whenever he says something that even she does not come to terms with. To answer his question, she says that while she doesn't always agree with her husband, he is an adult that knows how to stand up for what he says.

“I don’t agree with his tone sometimes and I tell him that. But it’s his decision. He knows the consequences. He’s an adult. But he’s a fighter.”

Now that it's clear not even Melania can stop him from tweeting, the rest of the world can expect him to say a lot more of his opinions amid the government shutdown.
