President Trump Slams 'No Talent' MSNBC’s Joy Reid after She Mocked His 'Smoking Hot Beauty Tips'
"Who the hell is Joy-Ann Reid?," Donald Trump asks as he launches a Twitter attack against the MSNBC personality who he also claims "doesn't have the "it" factor needed for success in showbiz."
For someone who claims he doesn’t know Joy-Amm Reid, President Donald Trump had a lot of nasty things to say about her. The president took to Twitter on September 14 and hurled words of contempt for the MSNBC personality.
WHAT TICKED HIM OFF
It remains unclear what set off Trump about Reid but her last appearance before he lashed out at her on Twitter was a guest co-host stint on MSNBC’s “All In.” She filled in for Chris Hayes and tackled several issues pertaining to Trump, some of which may have earned his ire.
She is the best-selling author of the book, "The Man Who Sold America: Trump and the Unraveling of the American Story" which was just released in June.
Aside from calling the president “desperate” and making fun of his Baltimore speech where he referred to Vice President Mike Pence as “Mike Pounce,” Reid also mocked him for his “smoking hot beauty tips.”
Reid referenced Trump’s complaint about light bulbs making his skin appear orange when she said that he “went on to treat the gathered Republicans to some smoking hot beauty tips.”
WHAT HE SERVED REID
On Saturday, Trump lashed out at the “AM Joy” host questioning who she was.
“Who the hell is Joy-Ann Reid? Never met her, she knows ZERO about me, has NO talent, and truly doesn’t have the “it” factor needed for success in showbiz,” he wrote and added, “Had a bad reputation, and now works for the Comcast/NBC losers making up phony stories about me. Low Ratings. Fake News!”
It appears Trump has been targeting outspoken women lately. He also launched a Twitter war against Chrissy Teigen who he called John Legend’s “ filthy mouthed wife..."

WHAT MAY HAVE ADDED FUEL TO HIS FURY
It’s possible that Trump’s anger wasn’t only because of Reid’s latest barbs against him. She is the best-selling author of the book “The Man Who Sold America: Trump and the Unraveling of the American Story” which was just released in June.
The back cover of her book asks, “Is Donald Trump running the “longest con” in US history? What will be left of America when he leaves office?”

Saturday is a great book day! To those who don't know, I wrote a book that tries to work out how we wound up here, and what will be left when Trump is gone. Cheerio to all our #amjoy viewers old and new! https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/joy-ann-reid/the-man-who-sold-america/
Moreover, Reid has been providing evidence on her radio show of why the president should be impeached in response to a poll that revealed more than half of Americans were not in favor of impeachment.
WHAT SEEMS TO BE A PATTERN
It appears Trump has been targeting outspoken women lately. He also launched a Twitter war against Chrissy Teigen who he called John Legend’s “ filthy mouthed wife,” prompting her to respond with an expletive-filled clap back.
Teigen expressed her shock and anger over the president’s comments when she appeared on Ellen shortly after.
She also got a lot of support from celebrities like Sophia Bush and Trump’s former communications director, Anthony Scaramucci. Bush retweeted a message calling Trump “reprehensible” while Scaramucci described his actions as of a “bully” and “crazy person.”
