Wendy Williams Stuns in Sheer Star-Covered Dress as She Receives a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Wendy Williams was on-trend yesterday as she turned up to receive her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a star-printed sheer dress. The talk show host also got emotional as she addressed the "tough year" she’s had so far.
Williams, 55, was visibly ecstatic on Thursday as she joined the exclusive club of stars whose names are immortalized on the famous Hollywood strip.
For the special occasion, Williams chose a sheer black dress printed with white stars of various sizes; the floor-length outfit also featured puffy sleeves and a turtleneck collar.
The former radio host accessorized with lots of jewelry, including a chunky wristwatch, several bracelets, and a massive fashion diamond ring. While keeping things simple with a pair of white sneakers, she went all out with a blond hairstyle and smoky eye makeup.
LOVE FOR WENDY WATCHERS
In several photos posted to Williams' Instagram account, the TV diva stretched out on the floor beside her carpeted star.
The Emmy-nominated TV host confessed that she knew of her estranged husband’s philandering ways a long time ago
"To all my #WendyWatchers - I am eternally grateful for all your love and support. Thank you. I love you for watching!" she captioned one shot.

Williams also posed with her son Kevin Hunter Jr. at the occasion. The mom-of-one was pictured kissing her 19-year-old on the cheek as she called him her "son shine!"
According to Daily Mail, the CEO of FOX Television – where Williams’ show airs – Jack Abernethy was present at the unveiling of the host’s star while radio personality Elvis Duran presented her with the star.
A VERY TOUGH YEAR
During an emotional speech, Williams acknowledged her struggles in the past year and her decision to keep soldiering on.
"The elephant in the room is that I’ve been having a very, very tough year. Slowly but surely, I’m climbing out of the pit and this is one of those monumental days that makes me say, you know if you don’t believe in yourself, who’s gonna believe in you? Sometimes life is a very lonely path and you’ve just got to make some hard decisions."
A MOTHER'S LOVE
Williams went on to appreciate her son for being with her through the tough times. "It’s me and you, kid… There’s one person here that knows… You know there’s no place like home, right?" she said. "A little burning food in the oven, time to run up to the grocery store, let’s go. Just mom. Thank you, Kevin."
"He’s always encouraged me to keep it going and never asks me to pull back from anything that I say or that I wear or anything like that," she added in a chat with PEOPLE. "He’s always been very encouraging."
Last month, the Emmy-nominated TV host confessed that she knew of her estranged husband’s philandering ways a long time ago, but chose not to act because their son was still living at home at the time. Now, the teenager is away at college in Miami.
"I’m not a selfish mom. I’m a very plot-ative individual; like I will plot on you," she admitted.
Williams has also had health troubles in the past year. After taking an extended break earlier this year due to complications from Graves' disease and her overactive thyroid, she revealed a few months ago that she had been diagnosed with lymphedema.
The condition causes limbs to swell as a result of lymph fluid buildup under the skin, and Williams has shared pictures of the compression machine she uses every day to manage the condition.
Williams has been on the small screen with her eponymous show since 2008 after previously hosting her radio show "The Wendy Williams Experience" for 23 years.
Congratulations, Wendy Williams!
