BH90210 Will Not Return for a 2nd Season and Fans Weigh In
Fox just announced that BH90210 will not be returning for a new season. For some fans of the longtime show though, the news is more than welcome.
After it's run in the 90s, the show "Beverly Hills 90210" became an iconic sitcom for many. Fans were thrilled when it got a revival earlier this year on Fox.
Now, the network has announced that there'll be no second season of the show, "BH90210." After the first season ended in September, fans have mixed reactions about the news.
Fox confirms there'll be no season two of "BH90210"
That included Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling. The beloved cast was the main part of what Fox termed a "truly inventive and nostalgic revival."
Indeed, the six-episode run of "BH90210" would definitely have taken back fans to the 10 seasons the original show ran for in the 90s. However, many fans were disappointed with how the new season went.
Most fans hated the first season anyway
In response to the news that the show wouldn't be renewed, Tracy E Shriver bluntly stated, "Good cause it was terrible." Her view was reflected by others.

A twitter user named Donna said, "I'm a BH90210 fan from back in the day... The comeback was horrible... I tried so hard to want to love it." Other fans gave their reason as to why the show didn't work for them.

Brian Lindemann said: "The entire format was stupid. I wish they simply would have updated the characters and continued." Meanwhile, user apr tweeted, "It [sic] was really awful!!!"

Others loved it and were extremely disappointed
There were some who did actually like the show and were pretty upset it was canceled. Karena was one of them. She wrote: "This really sucks! I LOVED it!!!."

Some people suggested that Fox TV was to blame for the whole thing. Sonya M insisted that Fox has a habit in which "they cancel all the good shows," but she thanked Spelling for the new concept.
"I loved the concept and was excited to see where the show could go. I guess we'll never know. Thanks to the original cast for a great season!"
I'm not surprised. @FOXTV sucks. They cancel all the good shows. 😕 Thanks @torispelling for thinking outside the box! I loved the concept and was excited to see where the show could go. I guess we'll never know. Thanks to the original cast for a great season! ❤— Sonya M (@Chi_WCP) November 8, 2019
Spelling and Garth gave a different impression
Spelling and Garth actually gave fans a different impression back in September when they spoke about the show just before season one came to its conclusion.
Talking to ET again, Spelling revealed that there would be a "cliffy-ish hanger" ending. Typically, this would mean that another season is in the works, but clearly this wasn't the case.
At the time, Garth acknowledged that the castmembers "don't know yet" about a season two. She called it "exciting" and said it was something they were keeping "under wraps."
Spelling was just crowned queen at Halloween party
Well, the cat is out of the bag, and clearly, there wasn't much to that tease. Meanwhile, members of the "BH90210" have moved on to other things.

You know what I did last weekend? - We 80’s it upped and went to our friends @vanessalachey @nicklachey ‘s “Fast Times at Lachey High/Die” Halloween 🎃 Party. - We never goto adult parties and spend our lives in a perpetual state of kidville BUT I gotta say it was so fun to have a date night and to hang out with other fabulous mamas and papas. My girlie @vanessalachey knows how to throw a party ON point. If you are wondering about costumes: Vanessa ( wig off and her hair down at this point in the program) was Mr.Hand & Nick was Spicoli as a Fast Times tribute. Dean and I were just a couple of loving the 80’s life party goers straight out of #ValleyGirl and inevitably King and Queen of #LacheyHigh 🤴🏻👸🏼. - Do you have different costumes for adult Halloween vs. family Halloween?
Last month, Spelling celebrated at a Halloween party and showed off her '80s costume by sharing a picture on Instagram. Joined by husband Dean McDermott, the couple even won king and queen of the night.
Friends Nick and Vanessa Lachey hosted the event which Spelling later described as being "on point." It looks like the same couldn't be said of "BH90210." We wish the cast well nonetheless.
