Missouri 3-Year-Old Makhi Martin Leads Classmates in Prayer during School Lunchtime in Touching Video

Video of three-year-old Makhi Martin went viral soon after his mother shared the clip on her social media platforms.

Ranisha Martin shook the internet when she posted a sweet video of her son, Makhi Martin, as he led prayers during his preschool's lunchtime.

In the clip, the 3-year-old could be heard thanking God for the meal his teacher, Mrs. James, and his classmates were about to consume.

His excited mother, who was behind the camera, expressed her pride at Makhi's growth.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Ranisha explained that she was at her son's school that day for his birthday, and seeing him pray, was a welcome surprise.

Daily Mail added that Ranisha had also mentioned her pleasure that her little boy had the tenacity to memorize the prayer. In her words:

"He's very smart. He's obsessed with dinosaurs. He can name all the dinosaurs and something special about them. He can tell you his birthday, his mom and dad's names, where he lives... he can tell you everything."

Soon after the video was made, Makhi was snapped with a cupcake, which he used to celebrate his third birthday.

As it turned out, the toddler would have more to be thankful for as Daily Mail revealed that Ranisha was going to be a mom for the second time in July.

The viral video won't be the first time that a young child would be caught on camera praying. It would be recalled that The Grio reported an image of praying children that had gone viral in August 2019.

In the image, three children – two boys and one girl – had been snapped by their mother, Jamisha Harris, as they prayed before boarding the school bus.

Jamisha had subsequently taken to her Facebook page to share the heartwarming image of her children – Eugene, Jorden, and Emily Jacobs – as they prayed.

Jamisha's caption, which highlighted her anxiety for her children's first day back to school, contained a prayer for her three children.

The mother-of-three later divulged that she and her husband had cultivated the habit of praying for their children every day.
