People: Heidi Klum Explains Her Previous Comments about AGT Amid Gabrielle Union's Exit Controversy

Heidi Klum clarified her previous remarks about "America's Got Talent" at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour recently amid the controversy surrounding Gabrielle Union's exit.

The supermodel turned TV personality told PEOPLE in a statement that a reporter asked her recently to share her opinions about Union's encounters while filling in as a judge on the hit NBC competition series.

Klum said she answered the reporters that she had not experienced related concerns. She also pointed out that her experience, while she was a judge on the show, was a positive one.

HER OWN TRUTH

The 46-year old, who showed up on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 1998 and was the first German model to become a Victoria's Secret Angel, added:

"I can only speak of my own truth, and by no means is that meant to negate or question Gabrielle's truth."

Klum continued she's an advocate for all individuals, regardless of their race, age, religion, gender, or sexuality. She also said that she believes everyone should be treated equally and with the highest respect.

A JUST WORLD

"While everyone's challenges are different, I want nothing more than for a just world and for people to be kinder to one another," the star concluded.

Klum left the original series after she and Mel B were replaced by Union and Julianne Hough for season 14. She is presently a judge on the spin-off "America's Got Talent: Champions."

On November 22, it was reported that Union and Hough would not be returning for the show's 15th season.

KLUM'S RELATIONSHIP

As reported by HollywoodLife, Klum is married to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz. Before meeting Kaulitz, she had two marriages and four children under her belt.

On November 22, it was reported that Union and Hough would not be returning for the show's 15th season.

Days later, Variety reported that Union, who began her career in the 1990s, appearing on television sitcoms, had revealed concerns over alleged racial insensitivity on set.

The outlet also claimed that the two ladies said they were exposed to "excessive notes" on their physical appearance.

However, in a statement, Hough denied that she had a negative experience on "America's Got Talent," according to PEOPLE.

The two-time professional champion of "Dancing with the Stars" even said that she's glad to resume her working relationship with NBC.
