Usain Bolt is set to become a father for the first time with his girlfriend of many years, Kasi Bennett. The retired athlete shared the happy news via social media, and fans have been sending in their good wishes.
A few years back, Bolt, 33, mentioned that he and Bennett were thinking of starting a family, and now, it turns out he wasn’t kidding. The couple is getting ready to welcome their bundle of joy.
Bolt took to Instagram on Thursday with a photo of Bennett posing in a billowing red gown and cradling her very visible baby bump. "I just want to say a KING or QUEEN is about to be HERE," he announced while also tagging his partner.
On her Instagram page, Bennett gave fans more snapshots from her red dress photoshoot, including one where she posed on a yacht and held up colorful balloons. She gushed over their unborn child in three posts, calling him/her their "biggest blessing," "greatest celebration," and "golden child."
There’s no word yet on the gender of Bolt and Bennett’s baby, but fans and famous friends have taken to their respective comment sections with well-wishes and kind words.

According to Kenya’s The Standard, Bolt also recently expressed his readiness to welcome kids with Bennett. "I've learnt it's never a good time to have kids," he reportedly said. "You just have to buckle down and do it."

Since then, Bolt has tried his hands at a soccer career, per NY Daily News. After playing for a Norwegian team and training for an Australian minor league squad known as the Central Coast Mariners in 2018, he retired again.
