The WWE superstar proposed to his fiancée before 75,000 people so she couldn't say no, and it paid off.
AmoMama brings you the news of John Cena's proposal to fiancée of five years before an audience of about 75, 000 people as reported in a December 5, 2017, post by ‘Mirror.'
The World Wrestling Entertainment superstar and actor John Cena proposed to his co-wrestler fiancée.
Cena popped the question during Wrestlemania 33 in April following the couple's victory over The Miz and Maryse.
Nikki Bella is also an American professional wrestler, actress, and model.
The thirty-four-year-old Bella is a two-time WWE Divas Champion and was named Diva of the Year by ‘Rolling Stone' in December 2015.
Cena appeared on British TV on Tuesday, speaking on Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
The wrestler opened up about the great step he took in the quite emotional interview.
He described the moment as ‘the moment of his life' when he got down on one knee with the world watching.
The forty-year-old wrestler and actor started dating fellow wrestler Bella back in 2012 after his divorce with his ex-wife.
After about five years of dating, Cena decided to take the relationship to another level.
Cena started his professional wrestling career in Ultimate Pro Wrestling before signing in to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002.
Cena has won the world champion for sixteen times throughout his career.
The WWE legend joked he only proposed to fiancee Nikki Bella inside the ring so she couldn't say no.
Although Cena decided to propose before the world, he had had a second thought about it.
‘You get to the point where you think it is a great idea, but what if they start chanting 'no, no, no?' he said.
He also added,
‘I was extremely nervous because the audience controls our programme. This was a match with 75,000 people.'
And guess what, Nikki Bella said ‘Yes!'
The wrestler was glad he actually proposed to her before the while audience as he called the WWE his family for past fifteen years.
He acknowledged the show of respect that the audience gave to him even though the preceding match didn't go quite well.
Cena added another emotive reason to why he proposed in the ring. He said, ‘We just want to give the best we can to our fans.'
Cena tried it and it worked out well for him.
We are happy for the wrestler-couple.
