Fans of this medical series will be disappointed to find out that they’ll have to watch a repeat in the meantime. The show’s new episodes have been held back.
The reason for the episodes not airing yet is because of the Winter Olympics. But fans don’t have to wait for too long as on February 26, 2018, the new episodes will continue.
ABC chose to hold back new episodes of The Good Doctor until after the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang are over. The network is instead airing a repeat of the episode ‘Not Fake’ instead of a new one starring Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy.
The new episode which will air in a few weeks is titled ‘Heartfelt’ and it was written by Thomas L. Moran. It will focus on a teenage patient who has a rare heart condition that has forced her to stay home her entire life.
She, however, has a big community of online friends. The teen hopes the team at San Jose's St. Bonaventure hospital will give her the life she has always dreamed of.
In another case, the team has a moral dilemma when a young patient and the parents finally find a perfectly matched organ donor.
‘The next new episode of The Good Doctor will air on Monday, Feb. 26 at 10 p.m. ET.’

The Olympics break ends a number of consecutive strong episodes for the show. The Good Doctor is ABC's most popular new drama of the 2017-2018 seasons.
The series has even earned a Golden Globe nomination for Highmore earlier this year. In the previous episode, titled ‘She,’ the show added two new characters.
Comedian Chris D'Elia played Murphy's new neighbor, Kenny, who was briefly seen in ‘Seven Reasons.’ D’Elia’s character proved helpful for Murphy and it looked like he was interested in making a new friend after Lea (Paige Spara) moved to Pennsylvania.
Even though fans really love Kenny, they did not like Dr. Claire Browne's (Antonia Thomas) rival.
Fiona Gubelmann made her debut in ‘She’ as Dr. Morgan Reznick. Reznick was a no-nonsense doctor who did not come to San Jose to make friends.
She only wants to climb up the ladder and impress Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) and become a permanent doctor at St. Bonaventure. At first, Reznick was confused by Browne's kind approach to patients.
But she then started being kind herself, just to get ahead of her rival. New episodes of The Good Doctor air on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
The series is based on a South Korean drama of the same name about an autistic surgeon.
