Meghan Markle wears a beautiful piece of Princess Diana’s jewelry on her wedding day
The newly styled Duchess of Sussex paid tribute to her late mother-in-law by wearing an aquamarine ring that belonged to Princess Diana.
She was spotted wearing the ring when the couple departed from St. George's Chapel, after their carriage procession through town. Markle didn't wear it during the wedding ceremony.
As reported by People, Prince Harry and Meghan left the chapel in a silver-blue Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero, and Meghan waved to the crowds.
They were on their way to a private function at Frogmore House, hosted by Prince Charles. Besides the aquamarine ring on her right hand, Meghan also wore a lily-white Stella McCartney evening dress.
The dress featured a halter-neckline and open back. She completed the outfit with a pair of aquamarine shoes with blue-painted soles and mesh detail.
Harry looked dashing for the evening event and changed into a black lapel suit with white shirt and black bowtie. He held the vehicle's door for Meghan before getting in the driver's seat.
The aquamarine ring and bracelet set was one of Prince Diana's favorite pieces of jewelry, and she was last seen wearing it at an auction of her clothes just months before her death.

There is no end to the enduring appeal of #vintage jewels. This weekend Meghan #duchessofsussex wore a beautiful aquamarine cocktail ring to her wedding reception that had previously belonged to #princessdiana I have to say, it looked a lot like the fabulous lot 159 (pictured top left) from our #Jewellery auction last week! That #artdeco ring was hotly fought over and sold for over five times its presale estimate! Just proving that #timeless jewellery is always sought after. @chiswick_auctions #royalwedding #meghanmarkle #jewelry #classicstyle #harryandmeghan #cocktailring #artdecojewelry #sold #royalty #aquamarinering #finejewelry #royalgems #marklesparkle
For her wedding ceremony, Meghan accessorized with Cartier earrings and bracelet; and the 1932 Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau tiara was lent to her by Queen Elizabeth.
On Kensington Palace official Instagram account, a user known as Kyara Haynes recognized the ring and said Princess Diana would have been proud of Harry.
Jessica Jay said it was symbolic for Meghan to wear the ring to the evening event, and added that Meghan and Harry make a beautiful couple.
