Lisa is a teenage girl who recently found out that her best friend Miley has cancer. Miley and Lisa have always been there for each other. To support her friend, Lisa is ready to sacrifice everything she has.

Lisa walked down the road to the hospital, her thoughts heavy with worry. Recently, her best friend Miley had been diagnosed with cancer. The news had hit Lisa hard, making her feel like the ground had disappeared from under her feet.

They had been inseparable since childhood, always understanding each other better than anyone else. Now, as their senior year of high school had begun, they should have been excitedly discussing prom dresses and future plans, not dealing with the harsh reality of Miley's illness.

It was Miley's first day of chemotherapy, and Lisa was determined to be by her side. Lisa entered the hospital, and the sterile smell hit her immediately.

She navigated the hallways, her heart pounding with each step. Finally, she reached the chemotherapy room. There, Miley was already seated in a chair, an IV drip beside her. Despite the situation, Miley wore a smile, her positivity shining through as it always did.

Lisa approached Miley and sat down in the chair next to her. She held a camera and started filming them.

"Hey, what are you up to?" Lisa asked, trying to sound cheerful.

"Absorbing some super toxic stuff," Miley replied with a smile. "Do you think I'll get superpowers after this?"

"Maybe you'll shoot lasers from your eyes?" Lisa suggested, grinning.

"Or control fire," Miley added, her smile widening.

"No, no, I know. You'll become super strong and destroy our school, so I don't have to attend classes."

They both laughed, the sound bringing some warmth to the cold, clinical room.

"I'd give anything right now just to go to class. I'm even ready to sit through Mr. Fisher's boring chemistry lesson," Miley said, her voice tinged with longing.

"Girl, you're tough. Sometimes I think Mr. Fisher might fall asleep while explaining chemical reactions," Lisa joked.

They laughed again, savoring the moment of normalcy.

"Tell me everything that's happening. I want to feel like I'm there," Miley said, her eyes bright with curiosity.

"Stacey broke up with Cameron," Lisa began.

"Again," they both said at the same time, then laughed.

"The food hasn't improved. Mr. Green got sick," Lisa continued.

"Have you decided where you're applying?" Miley interrupted, changing the topic.

"I haven't told anyone yet, but I want to apply for film directing," Lisa confessed, her voice soft.

"Will you cast me in your movie?" Miley asked, striking model poses and making Lisa laugh.

"Of course. Have you decided yet?" Miley's face fell.

"No, but it probably doesn't matter anymore."

"Why?"

"I overheard my mom talking to my doctor. He said he doesn't know if the treatment will help me."

"Oh, Miley," Lisa said, hugging her tightly. "Of course, it will help, which is why we must find you universities."

Miley smiled sadly, her eyes reflecting a mix of hope and fear. Lisa noticed Miley shivering from the cold and reached into her bag, pulling out a warm, knitted hat. She hands it to Miley.

"Here, put this on," Lisa says gently.

Miley takes the hat and slips it on, feeling a bit warmer. They both sit quietly for a moment, the weight of the situation hanging in the air.

"Let's talk about something else," Lisa suggests. "Did you hear about the new math teacher?"

Miley's eyes light up a bit. "Yeah, Mr. Brown. Everyone says he's really tough."

"Hell yeah," Lisa laughs.

They continue gossiping about school, and their conversation is a small comfort in the midst of everything.

A few weeks had passed since Miley started chemotherapy, and Lisa noticed Miley had become distant. Texts and calls went unanswered. Worried, Lisa decided to visit her. She walked to Miley's house, her heart heavy with concern.

Knocking on the door, she waited, hoping Miley would talk to her. But when Miley opened the door and saw Lisa, her expression was cold.

"I don't want to see or talk to you," she said, her voice flat.

Lisa was taken aback. "Miley, what's wrong? Why are you acting like this?" she asked, desperate to understand.

Instead of answering, Miley threw the hat Lisa had given her at her first chemo session. "Just go away, Lisa," she said, her voice breaking.

Lisa felt a lump form in her throat. She picked up the hat and left, her heart aching. Back home, she sat on her bed, holding the hat, feeling a wave of sadness. She couldn't understand why Miley was pushing her away. Then it hit her.

As she examined the hat, she noticed a lot of fallen hair on it. Realization dawned on her—Miley was losing her hair because of the chemo and was scared.

Determined to help her friend, Lisa returned to Miley's house. She knocked on the door again. When Miley opened it this time, Lisa stepped inside without waiting for an invitation.

"Miley, why didn't you tell me you were losing your hair?" Lisa asked gently, holding up the hat.

"I didn't want you to pity me," Miley replied, her voice trembling.

"I would never pity you," Lisa says firmly. "Do you want me to help you with your hair?

Miley looks down, then nods slowly.

Lisa smiles gently. "Okay, let's do this together."

The girls head to the bathroom, the air thick with unspoken emotions. Lisa gently helps Miley shave off all her hair. Miley stares at her reflection in the mirror, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and acceptance.

Lisa stands beside her, meeting her gaze in the mirror. Without a word, she picks up the razor and shaves a strip of her hair. Miley's eyes widen in shock.

"What are you doing?!" Miley asks, her voice trembling.

"It's the least I can do to support you," Lisa replies, her voice steady.

Lisa continues to shave all her hair, each razor stroke echoing in the quiet bathroom. When she finishes, they both look in the mirror, seeing their reflections as two bald girls.

"We urgently need wigs," Miley says, a hint of a smile breaking through.

"Yeah, definitely," Lisa agrees, nodding.

Lisa picked up her camera and started filming them. "We have to document this," she says, capturing their matching bald heads on film.

The school year flew by in a blur. Lisa spent most of her time with Miley, whether at the hospital or home. She was always there, offering support and comfort. Lisa applied to a film university, but she didn't tell anyone. Her grades had dropped because she missed so many classes while staying by Miley's side.

She worried she might not get in, but she had no regrets. She would do it all over again for Miley, whose condition had worsened. Her immune system was weak from the chemotherapy.

Miley caught a cold that she couldn't shake off and ended up back in the hospital. Lisa visited her every day, bringing homework, snacks, and stories from school to keep her company.

One afternoon, Lisa visited Miley at the hospital, trying to keep her spirits up. She was holding her camera as she entered the room, capturing every moment.

"Are you ready for prom?" Lisa asked cheerfully, hoping to lift Miley's mood.

Miley, usually so upbeat, looked sad. "I can't go. The doctor says I might get sick again."

Lisa's smile faded. She put the camera on the nightstand and sat beside Miley. "But we already bought our dresses."

Miley sighed. "I know. That's why you have to go."

"I'm not going without you," Lisa insisted, her voice firm.

"You have to go for me," Miley said, trying to muster a smile. "Someone needs to have fun."

Lisa fell silent, staring at her friend. She knows how much prom meant to both of them and knows she can't enjoy it without Miley.

Miley reached out and grab Lisa's hand. "Promise me you'll go to prom," she said, her eyes pleading.

Lisa looked down, unable to speak. The thought of going without Miley feels wrong.

"Lisa, promise me you'll go," Miley repeated, her voice more urgent.

After a long pause, Lisa finally nods. "Alright, I promise," she said softly, her heart heavy with the promise she knows she has to keep.

Miley tried to smile. "Good. Now tell me all about it when you get back. I want every detail."

Lisa forced a smile, squeezing Miley's hand. "I will. I'll make sure you don't miss a thing."

As they sit together, the reality of their situation sinks in. They had dreamed of prom for so long, and now everything was different.

In the evening, at home, Lisa sits on her bed and checks her email. Her heart races as she opens a message from the film university. Her eyes quickly scan the words, and then she feels a sinking feeling in her stomach.

She rereads the sentence: "We regret to inform you that you have not been accepted due to low grades." Lisa closes her laptop, her hands trembling.

Tears stream down her face as she feels the weight of the rejection. All her hard work and dreams seem to crumble in that moment. She buries her face in her hands, feeling lost and heartbroken.

Today is prom day, and Lisa is determined to make it special for Miley. She had to involve the entire medical staff to execute her plan.

In the evening, Lisa enters Miley's hospital room, wearing her prom dress.

Miley looks up, surprised. "What are you doing here? Why aren't you at prom?"

Lisa smiles, her eyes shining with excitement. "I'm going now, but you're coming with me," she says, handing Miley her prom dress.

Miley's jaw drops. "What? Did you manage to convince my doctor to let me go to prom?"

"Not exactly," Lisa replies, "but put on the dress quickly."

Miley looks confused but does as Lisa says. When she finishes changing into her dress, Lisa steps forward and gently places a corsage on her wrist.

"Will you explain what's happening?" Miley asks, still puzzled.

Lisa extends her hand, smiling warmly. "You'll see."

Miley hesitates for a moment, then takes Lisa's arm. Together, they leave the room. As they walk down the hallway, Miley hears faint music. They turn a corner, and Miley stops in her tracks. The entire hospital is decorated with garlands and flowers, and music fills the air.

"What is all this?" Miley asks in amazement.

Lisa just smiles and leads her into the hall. The sight is breathtaking. The hall is decorated with garlands and balloons. The medical staff and patients are dressed in evening attire. There's a punch table and a DJ booth.

"I decided that if you can't go to prom, then prom has to come to you," Lisa says, her voice full of love and determination.

Miley's eyes fill with tears as she looks around. "I can't believe you did all this for me."

Lisa squeezes her hand. "You deserve it. Now let's dance."

Miley hugs Lisa tightly, feeling grateful and overwhelmed. The girls move to the dance floor and start dancing, letting the music lift their spirits. They laugh and enjoy each other's company, forgetting the hospital walls around them. The evening is filled with fun, laughter, and moments they will cherish forever.

As the night came to an end, Lisa stood up and gathered everyone's attention. She showed a film she made about Miley, capturing their friendship and Miley's bravery. The room fell silent, tears glistening in many eyes.

When the film ended, everyone clapped, deeply moved. Lisa and Miley hug each other, tears streaming down their faces, grateful for their bond and the unforgettable night they shared.

Two months had passed since Lisa arranged the unforgettable prom for her and Miley. During that time, Miley had been gradually getting better. Today was a significant day as they were expecting the results to determine if Miley was in remission.

Lisa, feeling a mix of hope and anxiety, decided to check her email before heading to the hospital. She noticed a new message from the film university. With trembling hands, Lisa opened the email and read the contents.

Her eyes widened as she realized that she had been accepted into the film program based on new information the university had received. Overjoyed and a bit confused about how this turn of events came to be, she immediately thought of sharing the good news with Miley.

Lisa rushed to the hospital and found Miley sitting up in bed, looking healthier than she had in months.

"Miley, guess what?" Lisa exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement.

"What's going on?" Miley asked, her curiosity piqued.

"I got into the film university!" Lisa said, her face glowing with happiness.

Miley smiled, but Lisa could see something in her eyes. "That's amazing, Lisa. I knew you would make it."

"But how?" Lisa asked, still puzzled. "I thought my grades were too low."

Miley hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I saw the rejection letter on your laptop once. So, I wrote them a letter. I explained that your grades had dropped because you were taking care of me. I also sent them the film you made."

Lisa's eyes filled with tears. She hugged Miley tightly. "Thank you so much. I can't believe you did that for me."

Miley hugged her back, smiling through her tears. "You deserve it, Lisa. You've been there for me every step of the way."

Lisa pulled back and asked, "Have you heard anything about your results yet?"

Miley shook her head. "Not yet. I'm still waiting."

Just then, the doctor entered the room, holding a folder. The room fell silent, and both girls looked at him expectantly.

"I have two pieces of news," he says. Miley takes a deep breath.

"Give me the bad news first."

"Alright," the doctor says. "The bad news is that you won't see me as often."

Miley's face pales. "Why? Didn't the treatment work?" Her voice trembles with fear.

The doctor's smile widens. "The good news is that you're in remission!"

Miley stares at him in disbelief. "Are you kidding?"

The doctor shakes his head. "No, I'm not kidding. You're in remission."

For a moment, Miley is frozen. Then she and Lisa jump up, hugging each other tightly, tears streaming down their faces. They start jumping up and down, unable to contain their joy.

"We did it! We really did it!" Miley exclaims, her voice filled with happiness.

Lisa laughs through her tears. "Yes, you did it, Miley!"

They hold each other close, feeling the weight of the past months lift off their shoulders. The room is filled with their laughter and relief as they celebrate the wonderful news together.
