I Found Out My Husband Tells Everyone I’m His Kid’s Nanny He Doesn’t Fire out of Pity — I Took Full Revenge Soon After
When Megan goes to her husband's office, ready to surprise him with his favorite takeout for lunch, his receptionist reveals a secret. Suddenly, Megan finds out that she's been demoted from wife to mere nanny, allowing her husband to run free in his office.
Recently I found out that my husband tells everyone that I am his kid's nanny. A nanny who he doesn't fire out of pity.

It was just an ordinary day, and I thought that I would surprise my husband with lunch from his favorite fast food joint. We had both been working long hours lately, and we had barely had enough time to catch up and be together.
This was my first time in Ben's new office, and I couldn't wait to surprise him.

"Hi, honey," he said, answering his phone as I parked the car. "I'm just on a call, I'll be done soon."
I didn't really want to talk to him; I just wanted to make sure that he was there.
I got out of the car and grabbed the takeout bag, feeling a little thrill. When Ben and I were first married, we always did little things like this, constantly showing up at each other's offices or meeting in the parking lots.

It was the spice that kept our marriage alive and thriving.
Ben's office was a sleek, modern building. I walked in on the first floor, and an incredibly friendly woman at the reception greeted me with a bright smile.
"Good afternoon!" she said. "You're Mr. Link's nanny, right? Is something wrong with the kids? Should I buzz him, or do you want to go straight up?"

I almost lost my balance and dropped the bag of food.
"Excuse me?" I asked, my heart beating fast.
The receptionist tilted her head as if she didn't know whether she'd said something incorrect or if I hadn't heard her correctly.

"Aren't you Mr. Link's nanny?" she repeated, her smile faltering.
I took a deep breath, trying to process her words.
"No, I'm not the nanny," I said. "I'm his wife. Mrs. Megan Link."

Her eyes widened in shock, and she quickly looked around to make sure that no one else was listening to our conversation.
"Oh my God," she said quickly. "I am so sorry! I had no idea! Please, come with me."
I couldn't understand her actions. She moved quickly and quietly, watching over her shoulder. She led me to a quiet corner of the lobby with two leather armchairs and a couch.

"I can't believe it!" she exclaimed.
"What?" I asked, suddenly feeling stupid. I didn't know what was happening. But judging from the receptionist's actions, there was something that I didn't know.
"What's your name?" I asked her.

"Sierra," she said. "But listen! Mrs. Link, I can't believe it! Mr. Link told us all that he's a single father. And that he hired a nanny for his kids so that they wouldn't be alone after school. He said you've been around since the first one, and now he cannot fire you out of pity."
"What?" I repeated, my voice louder than I intended for it to be. "How do you know he's talking about me and not our actual nanny? Because we do have one."

"Because he showed me a photo before, and said to buzz his office if you showed up," Sierra said.
I felt a wave of nausea hit me.
"He really said that? Why would he do such a thing?" I asked out loud.
Sierra looked down, clearly uncomfortable. She moved her weight from one foot to the other, as if trying to decide what her next move should be.

"I really shouldn't be the one to say this," she said slowly. "But Mr. Link is very popular with the women in this building. And now, thanks to his story, everyone thinks that he's single. I've heard that he's been seeing someone in sales. They believe he's a struggling single dad, who works long hours because he is trying to give his children the life they deserve."
I could barely breathe. Nothing felt right to me. If anything, it felt like I was in a fever dream, and I just wanted to wake up.

"And you know that my husband has been seeing someone else? For sure?" I asked, my voice trembling.
She nodded.
"Yes, but please don't tell him I told you. The woman from sales, she likes to talk. This isn't the first time I've heard her mention it."

I stood there, stunned. My husband had been living a double life, pretending to be a single father while cheating on me with women at his office. I felt the betrayal cut deep, but then anger took over me.
I needed to do something. I needed revenge. And I needed to hurt my husband as badly as he hurt me.
"Thank you for telling me, Sierra," I said. "And I promise, he won't find out that you told me."
The receptionist leaned closer.

"There's a presentation tomorrow," she said. "It's for management, and Mr. Link is presenting. I shouldn't be telling you this, but it's the best time if you want to make a statement."
She smiled at me sweetly, and I realized that there was so much more to the story. Sierra was a woman telling me to seek my revenge. And she was actively trying to encourage me to make my side of the story heard.

"Here," I said, giving her the bag. "It's just lunch that I brought for my husband, hoping to surprise him. Enjoy it. And thank you, I know what to do."
The next morning, Ben took his time getting ready for work. He didn't mention anything about the presentation or work at all.
"What would you like for breakfast?" I asked him, making my own cup of coffee.

"Nothing, Megan," he said. "I'll grab something on the way to work. I don't want to be late."
"Suit yourself," I said. "I'm going to wake the kids up."
Ben left shortly after, not even saying goodbye to me or the kids.

After sorting the kids out and giving them bowls of cereal for breakfast, I dressed carefully, choosing an outfit that was both professional and confident.
I strapped the kids into the car and off we were.
"Why are we going to Dad's office and not school?" my son asked.

"Because Dad has a big presentation today, and I think that giving him a surprise will be good luck. Don't you think?" I said.
They cheered in the backseat. Of course, they didn't know the full story, but they understood enough.
We arrived at the office just in time.

Sierra smiled from her desk and nodded.
"Go ahead, ma'am," she said.
I could see my husband through the glass walls of the conference room, confidently addressing his colleagues. I waited until he was in full flow before pushing open the door and walking in with the kids.

"Hi, honey," I said, leading the kids in.
The room fell silent. All eyes were turned to us.
My husband's face went pale.
"Good morning," I said loud and clear. "I'm Mr. Link's nanny, and I've been instructed to only come to work for him if something happens to the children."

The silence was deafening. Even my children had sensed that something was going on.
"So, Mr. Link," I continued. "Something has happened! Your children and their mother have discovered that their father is a liar and a scoundrel."
At that point, I noticed Sierra standing in the doorway. I nodded to her and the children, and thankfully, she understood that I wanted her to take them away.
"Come on," she told them cheerfully. "I've got a platter of donuts waiting for you!"

Then, I turned around to address the conference room again.
"Ben Link is a liar and a cheater. I am his wife, not his nanny. He is not some sad single man who has to raise his children alone. He is a pathetic man who wants to be more than he is. Think about that when you continue this business with him."
"Megan, wait," Ben said.

"Nope," I replied. "I want a divorce. You can have your lawyer do it, or I'll have my father do it. I'm taking the kids to my parents now. I'm through with you."
With that, I went to find Sierra and my children, ready to leave Ben and his lies behind for good.

A Stranger's Note on My Husband's Car Made Me Call My Lawyer
When Sierra is in mom mode, trying to get her kids off to school, she finds a sticky note on her husband's car that makes her question where he had been the entire weekend. Wanting answers, she phones the number on the note and slowly, secrets unravel with her marriage.
It was a typical Monday morning. I was in my mom zone, trying to get the kids off to school on time. That's when a piece of pink paper changed everything.

I had just put the kids into the car and was about to put their lunch bags and backpacks in with them when I saw the bright pink sticky note plastered on the trunk of my husband's car.
I paused, my heart pounding, and walked over to read it.

"Sit tight," I told the kids. "I'm coming now! I just want to see what's on Dad's car."
"Okay, Mom," Natasha shouted from the backseat.
