'Here's Lucy's' Lucie Arnaz, Who Turns 73, Looks 'Fabulous' with Silver Pixie Hair and Lives in a Small Town with Her Family
Lucie Arnaz, whose iconic parents went through a tumultuous divorce, looks "fabulous" with her silver pixie cut in family photos shared online. The famous 73-year-old actress, best known as Kim Carter from "Here's Lucy," lives in a small town with her husband of 44 years since their five kids have grown up.
Many remember Lucille Ball as the lovable star of "I Love Lucy," the popular series she acted in alongside her real-life husband, Desi Arnaz. The couple shot to fame and became one of the world's most beloved sitcom families.
They experienced incredible success in their careers and made time to start their own family. Together they welcomed a son and a daughter, Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucie Arnaz. Even though she was born into a famous family, Lucie lives a much quieter life after moving away from Hollywood.

Desi and Lucille met in 1940 when they were cast on the stage show "Too Many Girls." The pair instantly fell in love. In November 1940, the couple ran away to get married and went on to star in "I Love Lucy" together. The show ran from 1951 to 1957 and was later turned into spinoffs.

The couple, who eloped six months after their first meeting, had what seemed like the perfect relationship. Yet their marriage was fraught with issues. They ended their marriage and got a divorce 20 years after they tied the knot.

Their children were seven and nine at the time. Luci and Desi Jr. recalled the divorce as a messy and disruptive time in their lives but said their parents remained close even after they had called it quits.

Lucie revealed that her parents constantly fought and that there was alcoholism involved, but confirmed that none of the family ever faced any abuse, even in the most challenging times.
She explained, "They just knew that it wasn't working for them to stay married, and that was sad. But once they decided to stop, everything got much easier for everybody."

While Lucie and Desi Jr. did not necessarily do anything to gain fame (having been born into an extremely famous family), they both went on to forge their own careers in Hollywood in some capacity.

When Lucie was just 11 years old, she starred in "The Lucy Show" and "Here's Lucy" a little later. Both shows were spinoffs of her parents' show, and fans loved seeing the young woman on screen.

In 2021, a movie called "Being the Ricardos" burst onto the film scene. It showed what it was like for the family to live in the shadow of "I Love Lucy" for many years. Lucie let the producers and directors know that her mother was difficult and that they should portray her as such.

Lucie was not afraid to show the world what it was like to grow up with a mother who was one of the world's most famous actresses, from the highest highs to the lowest lows. The movie commemorated the life of Lucille, which ended in 1989 due to an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Desi Arnaz passed due to lung cancer in 1986.

The family lived together in Palm Springs until the children were old enough to make their way in life. Lucie says her children are the accomplishments she is most proud of.
Lucie and Laurence now live in a smaller home in Weston because all their children have moved out, and they've become tired of maintaining their more prominent home. The house sits on just over two acres and boasts three and a half bathrooms.

While Laurence, a writer, converted the workshop on the property into an office where he could focus on his writing, the main bedroom features a walk-out balcony from which you can see the entire backyard.
The home also has a generator, wine cellar, fully-finished basement, media center, spa, three fireplaces, and a pool. However, what the couple enjoys most about their home is its location on a quiet cul-de-sac.
Talking about how his wife had made their house feel like a home after they moved in, Laurence said, "She has such good taste and [knows] how to decorate."
