Elizabeth Hurley on Meeting Billy Ray Cyrus’s Daughter Miley Cyrus

The "Austin Powers" star has settled comfortably into the extended Cyrus clan since going public with Billy Ray Cyrus over a year ago. Now she's revealing which of his children left the biggest impression on her.
Elizabeth Hurley is recalling the first time she met her beau Billy Ray Cyrus' famous daughter, Miley Cyrus. The model and actress shared her impression of the "Hannah Montana" alum during a recent appearance on Sirius XM's "Andy Cohen Live."

The topic came up as Elizabeth reflected on how she's settled into the Cyrus family more than a year after going public with her relationship with Billy. "I've been lucky to meet some of his kids and they seem fabulous," she shared during the July 27 interview.
"She's adorable," she said of Miley. Billy is also father to Brandi, 39, Trace, 37, Braison, 32, and Noah, 26, with ex-wife Tish Cyrus, along with son Christopher Cody Cyrus, 34, whom he shares with ex Kristin Luckey. Still, Elizabeth admitted she was especially eager to meet Miley.
That excitement traces back to her son, Damian Hurley, whom she shares with the late Steve Bing. Damian was a devoted fan of Miley growing up, and his enthusiasm shaped Elizabeth's own connection to the star long before the two ever met in person.
"I'd never met her, but my son used to love Hannah Montana, so he loved Father Montana," Elizabeth explained. "He loved Miley too, so I always knew who she was, and when he was a young teen, he used to love all her music."
The "Austin Powers" alum admitted she became just as invested as her son. "I used to have to watch her music videos, like 'Wrecking Ball,' a zillion times with him," she recalled. "So we were very familiar with who she was, and I knew I was going to like her and I do like her."

Elizabeth's introduction to Miley arrives at a meaningful moment for the singer, who recently opened up about mending her relationship with her father following his 2022 divorce from her mother, Tish.
Miley credited the passage of time with helping her see her parents differently. "I think timing is everything," Miley explained in a 2025 interview with the New York Times.
"As I've gotten older, I'm respecting my parents as individuals instead of as parents — because my mom's really loved my dad for her whole life, and I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard."

As Miley grew happy for her mother's new marriage to Dominic Purcell, whom Tish wed in 2023, she found she could extend that same understanding to her father.

"At first it's hard, because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, 'Yes, that's your dad, but that's just another person that deserves to be in his bliss and to be happy,'" Miley added. "My child self has caught up."

The Cyrus family has weathered plenty of turbulence in recent years, particularly since Billy and Tish's split. Miley served as a bridesmaid at her mother's wedding, and Brandi and Trace were also in attendance, though Noah and Braison have remained publicly at odds with their mother.
Tensions ran even deeper when Billy married Australian singer Firerose, a union none of his children attended. Billy has since divorced Firerose, and while recent reports suggest family ties are gradually healing, the path forward hasn't been without its bumps.
