In the new Netflix documentary "aka Charlie Sheen," the actor shared his surprise at seeing Trump in the series, "It was a trip. I didn't know Trump was in the [Netflix] doc. I saw it and I called the director. I was like, 'That's the coolest thing ever.' I was like, 'Whoa!' And newsflash - they should have heeded his advice."

The documentary highlights voices who questioned the couple's marriage from the start, including Trump himself. In a 2011 ABC interview, Trump recalled urging Mueller's parents to intervene.

"Brooke is from Palm Beach, and I told the parents, 'Don't let your daughter marry him. I think he's wonderful, but he's a disaster. Don't let your daughter marry him,'" President Trump said.

Sheen first met Mueller in 2006, shortly after ending his relationship with Denise Richards. He was immediately captivated by her presence and energy.

"She showed up like a lighthouse in a [expletive] storm," he recalled. "I was at a party at a friend's house, we talked, spent an hour together just casually at that party ... found out she was five years sober. Then I got her number, and we talked ... it was all very old-fashioned." He added, "I just dug her spirit, I dug her life, I dug her energy."

Their marriage was rocky. The couple welcomed premature twins in 2009, creating intense pressure as Sheen tried to balance a high-profile career with the demands of caring for newborns. He described feeling "a ton of resentment" toward his television work for not giving him time off to care for his family.

The relationship turned even more tumultuous later that year when Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day for allegedly threatening Mueller and holding a knife to her throat. The divorce was finalized in 2011, and the charges were ultimately dropped after Mueller recanted her claims.

"aka Charlie Sheen" paints a candid portrait of the actor's personal life, highlighting both his chaotic moments and the lessons he says came from them.
