TikTok Star Girlalala Gunned Down in Florida

Maurice Harrison, widely known as Girlalala, was just 21 years old when her life was brutally cut short on the evening of November 14.

The vibrant hairstylist and social media darling, who amassed more than 235,000 devoted fans on TikTok, was discovered in the front passenger seat of a vehicle, bleeding and unresponsive in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

Authorities from the Broward Sheriff's Office arrived at the 3300 block of Northwest 37th Street shortly before 7 p.m., responding initially to what had been reported as a medical emergency. But what they found was far worse: a young woman dying from gunshot wounds, her once-lively online persona now eerily silent.

Despite paramedics' desperate efforts, Harrison was pronounced dead at Broward Health Medical Center. The Sheriff's Office swiftly escalated the case from a medical emergency to a full-scale homicide investigation, bringing in their Homicide and Crime Scene units.

At the scene, deputies detained 25-year-old Shanoyd Whyte Jr, who was found near the vehicle. A firearm was also recovered. Detectives later revealed that Harrison and Whyte — who once played defensive lineman for Bethune-Cookman University — had been in a longstanding relationship that turned deadly after a heated argument inside the vehicle.

Whyte admitted the relationship to the investigators. He has since been booked into the Broward Sheriff's Office Main Jail, where a judge ordered him held without bond. He is now facing first-degree murder charges with a firearm, a charge that could land him in prison for life.

Chilling Footage and Disturbing Online Clues

As the investigation deepened, horrifying surveillance video began circulating online. The footage appears to show Whyte stepping out of a vehicle, gun in hand, while Harrison leans lifelessly from the passenger-side door. The next moments are haunting: he appears to force her back into the car before walking away.

Fans and followers were quick to dig up past content from Harrison's TikTok. In one unsettling clip, she is seen with a visible cut on her nose and under her eye, speaking about frequent arguments with her partner.
