Fans React to Jonah Hill’s Major Transformation in New Photos

Fans almost didn't recognize the "21 Jump Street" star in new photos on the set of his upcoming film. Many likened his appearance to that of several other comedians at first glance.

Jonah Hill was spotted on the set of his upcoming comedy, "Cut Off," in Los Angeles on Monday, October 6. The actor was nearly unrecognizable, looking significantly slimmed down for the project.

The film, slated for release in July 2026, stars Hill and Kristen Wiig as a pair of entitled siblings whose parents cut them off from financial support. Hill co-wrote the movie and is also serving as its director.

In photos circulating online, the "Superbad" star wore an eccentric outfit featuring a long-sleeved shirt with a bold, textured animal-print pattern, paired with fitted blue jeans accented by long, black faux-fur panels, and nude Tabi boots.

The costume was complete with a light blonde wig and oversized glasses. Fans were taken aback by the transformation, though Hill is no stranger to dramatic onscreen looks. One person wrote, "Omg!!! Wouldn't have known it was him if you didn't say it! 😮."

"That is INSANE - totally unrecognizable," another said. Others compared him to fellow comedians. "He looks like a blonde Steve Carell," one netizen noted. "I totally thought this was steve carrell in a wig [sic]," another echoed.

"Nah, this @zach_galifianakis you can't convince me otherwise," a third wrote. "I thought it was Napoleon Dynamite fr!!" someone else added, referring to John Heder's character in the titular 2000s cult classic.
