"I believe that beauty and wellness are inextricably linked," she said while demonstrating her dry-brushing routine, which she described as important for circulation and exfoliation.

The actress shared that transcendental meditation has also become a major part of her mornings alongside her husband. "It's a really nice way to start the day just centered and kind of letting the mind empty out," she explained.

"It's incredible to know that there are clean, non-toxic products that are really efficacious and really work wonders on your skin."

Despite now being heavily associated with skincare and wellness, the Hollywood star admitted she was not always invested in beauty routines. "I was not a person who ever had a skincare routine as a teenager," she said. "I was very much a tomboy."

Her Daughter's Beauty Skills Leave Her Impressed

While discussing makeup, Paltrow revealed that her daughter has developed far more advanced beauty skills than she ever had herself. "My daughter is very into the beauty world," she said. "I mean, she knows how to contour. That girl is just on fire with her routine."

The actress joked that her daughter definitely did not inherit those skills from her. "I can barely put on concealer, as you just saw," she added.

Paltrow also spoke about the broader mission behind Goop, saying the company was built to challenge conversations surrounding shame, wellness, and women's health.

The actress described herself as more low-maintenance when it comes to makeup, crediting her mother with teaching her to feel comfortable in her own skin and embrace a "less-is-more" philosophy.

Among the beauty products she called essential were mascara, lip balm, sunscreen, and multipurpose blush and lip tints. Paltrow also emphasized the importance of taking care of skin from the inside out through hydration, exercise, nutrition, and fresh air as she has gotten older.

Why Gwyneth Paltrow Says Goop Was Created

During the routine, Paltrow reflected on why she launched Goop's beauty line in the first place, explaining that she struggled to find products that aligned with her standards for both luxury and clean ingredients.

She said many conventional beauty products contained harsh ingredients she wanted to avoid, which inspired her to create alternatives she felt were safer and more effective. "I saw a big white space in the market for clean, luxurious skincare," she explained.

Paltrow also spoke about the broader mission behind Goop, saying the company was built to challenge conversations surrounding shame, wellness, and women's health. She said:

"We really wanted to challenge social norms that existed around silencing women, encouraging women not to ask difficult questions, and things that really kept shame over people."

The actress added that she believes women should feel empowered to make choices that help them feel their best as they age. "We really believe that women are the most powerful, beautiful creatures on Earth," Paltrow said. "And the closer that we are to ourselves, the better off we all are."
